iNaturalist currently shows this species as an 'inactive taxon'. Don't know why. Also the gap in the second white band seems not to be centred dorsally in this specimen, but is visible form side-on.

There were a number of Taxon changes for Tortrics on iNat - 3 November. This one is now Conchylis subfurcatana on iNat.

https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/149527

Vacuana vacuana changed to Conchylis vacuana and Euphona Euphona to Capua euphona. THere may have been more.
Constrictana constrictana changed back to Tortrix constrictana.

Dianne. Thanks. I'm not sure where this leaves us because we have decided to comply with the Australian Faunal Directory wrt to namimg. For example, the AFD seems to acknowledge the prior C. subfurcatana (1863) but calls S. subfurcatana a synonym (2013).

It appears then that iNat is ignoring Marianne's research and putting the names back to the those of the original authors ?
So we basically have 3 authorities who often disagree: iNat, Bold, and AFD.
Personally: I like AFD because it only covers the limited population of insect species resident in Oz, so is easier to search, and is based on local knowledge and research.

I just looked at BOLD and AFD and found
"SpeciesConchylis subfurcatana Walker, 1863synonym of Subfurcatana subfurcatana (Walker, 1863)"
but only Conchylis subfurcatana in BOLD.
