A Pacific Black Duck has nested in a sheltered location in between Lomandra in my backyard and 9 ducklings hatched this morning. They have permanent water which they're using regularly, but not sure if it would be worthwhile putting out an additional food source? Perhaps I shouldn't interfere and let nature take its course? There isn't much nutrition in fake turf. It would be nice if they hung around in the short term for their own safety's sake.
