Checked out how the chick was going - and discovered not one, but two, little heads at the entrance! Dad, then Mum, fed the voracious little ones - at one stage, I thought the adult's beak would be stuck inside the iron grip of its young. Both chicks were stretching their wings, as much as they could inside their rapidly shrinking hollow. Of interest, I did not observe any feet cleaning of the young . . . (I have a theory). I went back later in the day, and one chick was hanging nearly half out of the hollow. I suspect they will literally fly the nest in the next day or two. And fingers crossed, we will see new tenants
