I've never really been all that confident with Hordeum. @MattM do you know this group?

@Tapirlord I have never made the effort to look into the genus beyond a quick glance at the key which suggests they may as well be impossible to distinguish without the plants in hand. I treat each species the same as they are all exotic annuals and likely function the same way in the environments in which they are found.
