I mean, this is obviously a grass. But I'm not sure we can identify it beyond that point.

The general habitat with the broad, green foliage looks reasonable for Chilean Needle grass. How confident are you that this is CNG?

Very confident. The photo is not clear, but I examine the grass blades for their broad width (about 4mm), hairs on edge, heavily ribbed and rough faces, the same as my other recent five sightings both in the Reserve and on nearby road verges.
