Very healthy snake sunning itself just outside it's hole on a freezing winter morning.

They do seem to be pretty tolerant of cold - the black colour most likely helps on sunny days. I have seen a pair sunning outside of a burrow at Tidbinbilla NR in July. An interesting record given the season thanks for submitting.
