User's notes

The Baldys were back at their hollow today. We watched for more than an hour and a half while they perched on the edge and preened themselves and each other. Both entered the hollow for varying periods to do some housekeeping, tossing out debris and wood chips. We didn't see them arrive or leave, so they could have been there much longer.
