Same location as sightings 4480343 and 444435696. Not positive whether it's one plant or many. Largest sprouting has much darker leaves than smaller bits (second photo shows light and dark versions) but all produce white sap when the leaves are torn (last photo). Will go and remove it again, with weedkiller this time.
Thanks much appreciated - definitely one that we want to keep on top off - I removed one from Red hill on Saturday - which is the first I have seen there
Thanks for posting this one @jmcleod, I might have to take a good wander through that area. Looks like there is a couple of spots they are popping up on Oakey recently. Take care when you're treating them.
@ACTBioSecurity @jmcleod and I will leave it you to treat then. There’s no flowers or fruit. I just did a quick walk through of another area where I treated one earlier in the year (mapped on treated weeds layer). May be worth checking out, they seem to be under the larger trees that birds frequent like many of our garden escapees!
Thanks @ACTBioSecurity , I'll leave it to you to treat - I'm sure you can deal with it more effectively than me :-) Confirming that I didn't see any flowers or fruit on any of them.
Hi @GregC This can be chipped out, but you will need to ensure that all the root stock is removed. alternatively, you can let us know about any new plants through uploading them on this platform and the Biosecurity team well get an alert and we will head out to treat the area. Thanks Biosecurity officer
@GregC getting the roots completely out is difficult - see sighting 4435696 for a photo of the roots I pulled out of this one the first time I saw it a couple of years ago. It seems to resprout if you leave the slightest bit behind.
