Together with the tinges of rust colour in the gills, the overall fungus looks like Inocybe violaceocaulis.

What a coincidence! In the 1990s I'd collected some mushrooms in the ANBG grounds, called them Cortinarius sp and so they went into the herbarium A couple of days ago I examined them microscopically for the first time, found them to Inocybe violaceocaulis and so soon after that Pam suggests that name for this sighting.
