There are plenty of recipes available, with varying degrees of complexity, so I will wait for a recommendation from @Csteele4. I remember rose hip syrup taken by the spoonful as medicine (or maybe when the jelly failed to set. There is a recipe that uses brandy as an extra preservative boost and that might be pretty good. I cut and poisoned heaps of briar rose today but didn't remove the hips; maybe next time I will collect some seeing the blackberries are almost finished. There are plenty of briar roses on Isaacs Ridge which anyone is welcome to take.
