I'm fairly sure these are the same individual but it's possible I've mixed up more than one bee...

Several of the Leioproctus spatulatus species group sometimes have a slightly metallic blue abdomen that can show up in some views and be absent in others. L. plumosus would usually show greenish blue on the thorax and head.
