Not sure why @CarbonAI isn't trained in Acacia genistifolia, hence the incorrect suggestion of Acacia buxifolia subsp. buxifolia?

It explains why carbonAI is so bad with wattles when many are well reported and have distinct leaf shapes.

We have more photos of A. genistifolia than A. buxifolia subsp. buxifolia so I'm unsure why it isn't trained in the former but is with the later.

@michaelb any info here? I've also noticed that many other common wattles are not trained with the AI.

@AaronClausen Hi Luke. It a bit strange that the AI is so poor with wattles and very often suggests incorrectly Acacia buxifolia subsp buxifolia. These are the rules which govern it ... CarbonAI

Yeah, my point was that species with at least 100 images are eligible to be trained for machine learning and A. genistifolia has 177 images on CNM, so I suspect something went wrong with the training for our silicon friend.

Yes I agree with Matthew, there are many local species missing from the AI with plentiful images, e.g. A. rubida, A. gunnii, A. ulicifolia, A. pravissima.
