Hello all: why is harpalyce listed as a significant species when it appears to me that it is commonly seen in the ACT and its larval aggregations on mistletoe are also common. There are many other less familiar species that are rarely recorded on CNM but don't get a rating.

Hi Roger, thanks for your question. The significant sighting applies to just this particular record, and for records that have been made significant sightings you should be able to read the justification. So for this record, it is the first August record of an adult flying in the ACT. Does that make sense?
