Between 40-50 individuals. Flew into this spot on the Molonglo River from the east as the sun rose over the horizon.
Huge feeding ground - from pine cones to grubs under the wattle bark and more.
Then individuals progressed down to the river for a drink after eating and calling out for a good two hours!
Had aimed to walk along the river looking for Platypus hangouts, based on the old records, but this was a nice surprise. No platypus sighted…
