Pretty disgraceful really, it only takes one careless jogger, hiker or cyclist to throw one apple core and we are left with a dense stand of trees happily fruiting below a lookout. This is in otherwise beautiful native vegetation in a nature reserve as well. Apple, plum and pear species seem to be increasing their presence in our regions bush, spread largely by birds, so it is imperitstive that careless oversights like this are avoided in the future. This has gotten to the point where young apple trees are growing up above the treeline on the main range. Honestly an add campaign would probably be effective here. Having said all that, apples weren’t half bad.
