My understanding is that by DNA analysis, BOLD found 3 species in the 41 Palaeosia specimens sent there, only one of which had been described: P. bicosta. A second appears to be superficially indistinguishable from P. bicosta, and the third has a single yellow costal stripe. In CNM we are lumping together sightings that have that monochromatic costal stripe, but without further DNA analysis we cannot tell if they are all actually the same as the third one BOLD found or yet another or even more undescribed species.
