Thanks Jiggy - yes a significant invader of bush in S-E Qld and northern NSW. Not yet naturalised in the ACT and not on our weed alert list. However I see that it is a weed in New England and other areas that have a similar climate to Canberra (particularly to our warming climate) - perhaps it is one we should pay more attention to?

Thank you Michael, I was amazed to see how may bee, wasp, flies and other insects on the flowers, I guess will need to monitor the area, storm water way also. This plant may up like Chinese elm, is become a weed in QLD too,and the elm it starting to spread quickly along the The bottom of Black mt along the Parkes way. Just what we need another weed species...if you get a chance quickly check out the Red Buffalo-bur in Gungahlin. Wow it grows fast and spreads fast. Just up from the town centre.. it's map on nor treat area in collector
