Studies by Coran (1994), have determined that anther and filament colour is a consistent diagnostic feature that can be used to seperate Arthropodium milleflorum from Arthropodium sp. Snowy R. catchment (N.G.Walsh 6195). Similar evidence has been used to seperate other new taxa such as Arthropodium sp. South-east Highlands (N.G.Walsh 811) Vic. Herbarium. As to validity of this methodology, i'm not sure, all I can do is relay back what the papers say.
