Have had two opinions on this bird from ABID. One saying it is a Weebill and the other as a juvenile White-throated Gerygone.

Looks more like juvenile weebill. Not long out of nest and more likely breeding at that location than gerygone.

Yes, I agree. I think most likely immature White-throated Gerygone, a small chance it could be a pardalote but the rich yellow plumage strikes me as Gerygone.

Lacks yellow supra- lore spot ( white in adult) and bill shape of gerygone. The yellow wash is consistent with a very young juv weebill and it is backlit by evening sunlight (7pm). If not confident then I guess it’s ID best considered inconclusive. Pity parent didn’t show up.
