This plant doesn't seem to have any thorns on the stems from what I can see, I suspect it might be Acacia howittii instead

Luke I have seen these plants a number of times & they are A.paradoxa, the form is much closer to that species than A.howitii.

Are these planted? I don’t think Acacia paradox’s likes being south of the lake. PCS plantings in Isaacs Ridge and Mount Mugga Mugga have a low success rate, though some get over a metre tall before they die.
