Ctenoplusia limbirena? I think there are some forewing markings (behind the white spot) which suggest it is this spcies. I dont see other markings consistent with C. subsidens.
This is a cosmopoiltan species, apparently native to southern Africa and south eastern Europe. It has found its way to Australia and New Zealand. As a species it does not appear on the Australian Faunal Directory. Like many European macromoths it has a an accepted common name: Scar Bank Gem. iNaturalist has 140 observations of this species in south eastern Australia. This a new species for CNM when approved.
