First sighting on NatureMapr of this amazing click beetle

User's notes

First time I have seen this impressive beast. Perusal of ALA indicates this record is the most southern of its range (out of 79 sightings). Significant?

Hi Stuart. This species deserves an appropriate common name, can you think of one?

Hi Michael, question seems innocuous though I have spent a fair amount of time pondering! Nothing has 'bells on' but how about the 'Ornate click beetle' ? In comparison with all others it has ornamentation whereas they don't, being uniform in one colour usually.
