User's notes

I think this is an orchid. Sorry, not fully flowering, but I'm hoping the leaves might at least give an idea of what species/family it may belong to? I'm not sure if it will survive the elements and grazing animals . . . I walked away, came back and a branch had fallen on it, breaking off. I found the broken florets, put them in water, will keep an eye on this one. Can't see any others around, but that's more due to my lack of observational powers than anything . . . The orchid is 42cm; the longest leaf is 9cm
