A group of us put up this possum box, hoping to entice the numerous local possums to live in plush accommodation, as an alternative to gang gang nesting hollows (which we knew the possums were frequenting). Today as I crunched past, I heard an urgent scraping from the box, and a kookaburra emerged, flew to a nearby branch, then another, back to the first branch, then straight back into the 'possum' box once I'd moved a little away.
