One kookaburra entered the hollow and seemed intent, almost frenzied while there. We could hear loud knocking from inside the burrow as the bird moved around. After a couple of minutes the first was joined by its mate, who also looked intently inside the hollow. They both flew to a nearby branch, before flying back to the hollow. I don't know whether the hollow was providing dinner, or a potential nest site.
