User's notes

As discussed here are photos of the young male and mature female from the group of 3. I will compare with the close ups I have of the female from track and give you an estimate for how similar I think it is

I've had a look at the one series of photos I could find on my phone that are definitely of the female from track. What I can say is there's nothing showing that says they aren't the same two gang gangs. No particular features showing in one and not the other but with the angles and light I have I can't say they are the same for sure.

Thanks - whether it is usual for young to return with parents to teh nest site is a question we will look at next August -September

Yeah it's definitely something I've been puzzling over exactly how to properly test. As some couples seem to be much more regularly at their hollows during the off season than others those that are there I do often see with young either nearby or actually with them.

We are thinking that from early august next year we we allocate regular watches to trees from which young fledge this season and record who visits.

Cheers michael
