This is a weed of national importance that still is only sparingly established in our region. We need to be vigilant to keep it that way

User's notes

one small plant spotted by Margy Burn in the Mt Majura reserve but very close to the Valour Park fence and about 10 m east of where the gully enters the drain , tubers dug out and binned with top growth

Thanks for digging this potentially devastating pest out. It is depressing that the bulbs and shoots are looking so healthy we used to hope that Canberra's cold winters provided a protection against this species

Michael the winters in Canberra are not as cold as they used to be, I'm afraid. We now have species such as Inkweed, that you would expect at the coast, growing on Mt Majura ...
