this is litoria citropa, note the rounded shape, band extending from nostril over eye, tympanum and down the flank. good record, a first for the cnm region?

Thank you for the time and comments. I know nothing about frogs and IDing. If it helps, the frog's body was between 1-2cm (I thought it was a grasshopper initially). I couldn't see any green, just a thick belt of black along the side?

This would be the first Litoria citropa for Canberra Nature Map.

If so, also the first Litoria lesueurii on CNM.

hi, michael.
Whilst this is L. citropa, L. lesueuri are very common and well recorded on CNM. lesueuri are a very abundant species along most rocky river corridors and creek lines.

For some reason there seems to be a duplicate of L. lesueurii, see Litoria lesueuri and https://canberra.naturemapr.org/species/7816

Yes, there is a duplicate species name, hence the illusion that it was the first sighting under the name Litoria lesueurii. I have merged to 2 names.

Brian, I will let Anke Maria decide if we should change the ID to your suggestion.

Hi there I had a whole list of double ups and mis-spellings. Unsure if most of them have been resolved. The right spelling should only have one i at the end.

That is for Litoria lesueuri.
