Murray Cod found floating on the edge of the lake, after further inspection found 'lip gripper' attached. Fish had been accidentally released with grippers attached and eventually died. I've seen this on numerous occasions over the years, I've been a keen angler my entire life and I'm not a fan of this device.

Steve would you be ok if I posted this on Canberra Social fishing - Lip grips on cod are something I don't like at all. Matt

Hi Matt, no problem feel free to use the photo wherever you like. I feel that an increasing number of people fishing these days have good intentions about returning native fish in a good condition, but may not realise they are causing harm, so any education is a good thing.
