Hi Steve, This is an alleculine, possibly an Aethyssius sp. (page 176 my book). Was it feeding on Cassinia/Ozothamnus? Note the prognathus mouthparts. This record is a remote spot. Are your cluster of records on the Kybean West Fire Trail that I have visited at the Undoo NR. You have some other interesting beetles from here that Kim Pullen would need to ID.

Hi Roger, I believe it was a Cassinia it was feeding on. It’s not far from Undoo NR, it was to the south of there in the Kybeyan State Conservation Area/Kybeyan Nature Reserve. The same fire trail.
