Have no idea what this is, but it looked superficially like the Cenchrus caliculatus in grasses of the NSW tablelands. My plant was up to 30cm tall. I regret not taking better photos or keeping the sample. Growing in cracks along drain under the railing adjacent to footpath at the roundabout.

Hi Matt. We would be very interested in knowing what this grass is. If you were able to go back & get a specimen to take to ANBG for a positive ID that would be useful to us.

It would definitely be worth getting a specimen for the herbarium as they have only5 specimens from the ACT. It was probably introduced to Canberra in road gravel.
