This bird was spotted in our poultry enclosure. The top half of the door to the enclosure had shut and the bird either hadn't quite worked out how to get out, or was still hoping to nab one of our quails. When it first spied us it tried camouflaging itself on the ground. I initially thought it was injured but it then flapped up and hung from the roof with one foot for quite some time. After taking some photos we opened the door fully and it flew away at great speed. The bird's body was around the same size as a large raven's. On looking closely at the photos it does seem to have a minor beak injury.
I'm wondering if this might be a Brown Goshawk or Collared Sparrowhawk, perhaps a juvenile given its brown-ness.
