Thanks for looking at this, Karen. It is a distinctive species and it does indeed look much more like Isolepis gaudichaudiana. it is so obvious - now ! Based on your feedback, practically all sightings of Isolepis inundata in CNM (except possibly the earliest) should be revised to I. gaudichaudiana. For those not aware of Karen's authority on this, she is the (retired) author of the keys and species ID for Cyperaceae in PlantNet and VicFlora.
