This looks most like Litoria fallax and as it is in the suburbs I would suggest that it has arrived here in the ACT in freight or by hand from somewhere on the coast as it does not occur naturally here.
It is definitely a dwarf tree frog (Litoria fallax group). It will most likely not fair well and will likely die. As their natural range is primarily costal.
Hi Gorge further to our phone conversation it would be good to locate and catch this frog this species has been known to successfully establish new colonies in areas outside they normal distribution This increases competition for ressources with local frog species Pls give Frogwatch a ring 0429066046 if you happen to find the frog again!!
