User's notes

This is the family of BKP Swans (with 6 cygnets hatched at Stranger Pond). The parents moved the family to Upper Stranger Pond on 15th Sept, (have chatted with a very nice woman who has been watching the family, on 15 Sept she also saw they tried to go to Isabella Pond but the Cygnets were having trouble getting out of the water so she made a path for them while the parents waited and then she stopped the traffic while the parents walked their 6 cygnets across the road back to Upper Stranger Pond. This happened on 15 Sept and it looks like they are happy here now. We think there were too many people and dogs walking around Stranger Pond and Isabella Pond and they did not feel comfortable. Hopefully they will be happy at Upper Stranger Pond, all 6 cygnets looked well. The other 3 adult Swans that were at Upper Stranger Pond on our last visit seemed to have gone. Update, looks as if the Swan family have now moved to Lake Tuggeranong. As per eBird list of Archer, 28 September 2021.
