A great year for Clematis I can't remember seeing so much in flower before

Indeed, they're doing very well this season.
Interesting, though, that of the 7 sightings so far this year in the "old" PNR, 4 of them were previously identified in 2019 although only 2 of them reported to CNM at the time, including this one, which was logged as sighting 4236519 by @AlisonMilton. It appears that since 2019 it has found and climbed the tree (I assume Alison would have photographed that at the time if it had already done so). September 2019 was the first appearance of C. leptophylla on the quite comprehensive plant list of Friends of The Pinnacle. The other sighting reported to CNM in 2019 was 4235747, recently relocated and reported as sighting 4392011; it seems to have flourished but not grown much bigger.
One of the other 2019 sightings was photographed but not reported to CNM at the time. It has been now, as sighting 4392003 with a recent photograph at the same location reported as sighting 4392005. In this case the very large specimen from 2019 is much smaller.
So it is interesting to me that they first came to our notice as very healthy specimens in September 2019 towards the end of a very dry period, in stark contrast to this year. A very adaptable species?
The two sightings in the Pinnacle Extension are relatively small and I'm assuming that because they haven't been reported previously by they are perhaps new this season or last [@pinnaCLE?].
