Venturer Scouts ACT have observed a Breeding pair of Wedge-tailed eagles over this portion of Hospital Creek for the last 4 years when in the park doing WaterWatch monitoring. This weekend we once again saw two mature adults and a fledgling on the wing. There is a large nest on the eastern side of the valley, approximately 150m upstream of the confluence of the Hospital and Little-Dry Creeks. Sadly, I need better photography skills and equipment to get clearer shots, but the coloration and size mean they can only be Wedge-tailed eagles.
