Did you get a side view so that we can see its legs ? The larvae of different moth families have different numbers of legs.

Could this be Capusa senilis? A caterpillar photo cfor C. senilis on Lepidoptera Butterfly House looks similar to this specimen.

Sorry it had gone when I went back to look. Now I know leg number is important for ID I will make sure I get that in future
