This species although nationally widespread is rarely recorded in our region

User's notes

I tried to ID it myself but didn't really succeed. I thought that the very clear spots on the legs and the lined body might help but still a beginner at trying to capture what matters in terms of an ID. Anyway. Water skink had blotchy legs rather than nice spots. Snowy Mountains Skink wrong area and seemed to have a different type of head. Spencer's skink seems like it always has skinny lines and the ones the back of this one were broad. Oriental striped-skink too blotchy? If it is a Cryptoblepharus then I guess I still haven't captured the lamellae under the 4th toe so no help there in determining which species it is. About 20cm long including tail but that is far from accurate - it just wasn't a small skink I guess is the point. Thanks.
