Definitely not in a swamp, but growing in boggy spots where water has been seeping from the slope for the last few months.

Thanks Michael. I thought the bristles on the flower heads weren't long enough to be C. purpurascens, but didn't even think to explore the clovers because there were (are) no leaves looking remotely like a normal clover leaf.
