An Australasian Darter, probably a female, was resting on a branch. I probably got a little too close and the bird started to look around, possibly to check on what its options for escape were. I noticed that it had something on its beak, possibly plastic. I am not sure what it was, and I had a closer look at the photograph, but it may have been some ring that the darter had attempted to spear with its beak.
