Thanks Matt. I have found quite a few locations of sun orchids in Dryandra St Woodland. I am not sure that they are all the same species. I have put just one lot in to see whether I have adequately covered the characters needed to identify what seems to be a problematic genus, going on comments in the Jones' guide. I would appreciate it if you could check my sun orchid entry and give me any feedback needed to get it right next time.

Ideally you would have an image of the whole plant. It's good to see the leaf in relation to the plant, and the characteristics of the flowers and leaves.

When (if?) the sun comes back I will give it another try. I will also take a tape along and measure the length of the plant and the length of the leaf.
