Rampant Invasive Weed, We have An UNPRECEDENTED Weed Problem on our hands. URGENT ACTION is needed to prevent a Grassy Woodlands BIODIVERSITY DISASTER !!,
Capeweed is omnipresent and is taking over areas where I haven't noticed the species before. As we go through the cycles of drought and overgrazing the native grass cover has practically disappeared, no wonder with such a huge a kangaroo population (at least 5times of what is sustainable); the weeds just fill in. Say Goodby to endangered Horay sunray, good by critically endangered grassy woodland... Volunteers can't battle the weeds, 1000s of hours are not enough, we can't inundate the nature reserve with herbicide year in year out and still loose native biodiversity to overgrazing.
We lose this war on weeds because the government is not managing the overgrazing.
