Herbarium collection HL1151 at CANB

This photo shows part of a dried herbarium collection but in this case the appearance of the dried material is very much the same as when it was collected. The fruitbodies were hanging down (much like pendent lamps) from a piece of well-rotted wood that was lying on the ground. Some of the fruitbodies towards the right hand edge of the photo had been heavily insect chewed before collection.
