User's notes

I found this green tree frog around my house in Ainslie. I think it might be an escaped pet? But interested if anyone aware of a local population, and whether it can survive outside in Canberra

Thanks Ian. Anke Maria, can you answer Ian's question?

We once found a green tree frog on a bunch of bananas we got from the supermarket. It might have ended up in your house a similar way.

Yes I think that's right. I donated the frog to a small zoo in Nicholls and they said tree frogs periodically show up in crates of fruit from Queensland. It was good to find it a home; too cold for it to survive in a Canberra winter apparently.
