Hi Roger
If you have time, you can go thru the list of Paropsisterna at this page:

Hi Michael. thank you for site of the Paropsisterna. After looking through multiple times I couldn't find anything that matched. My wife and I noticed that neither Paropsis nor Paropsistera species were striped and were all more convex than this specimen, so we dug further and using the habitus drawings in Chris Reid's key to genera of Chrysomelidae, we noticed Peltoschema and it wasn't hard after that to find Peltoschema suturalis (Middle-bar Acacia leaf beetle). Images of this species in both iNaturalist and ALA show it to be quite a variable species - this one seems to have larger lateral red bands than most.

Thanks Roger, good detective work. I'll leave it for Kim to confirm.

The lateral red bands suggest to me that it is P. orphana rather than P. suturalis.
