This tree is over 20 years old - I first noticed it when it was just knee high. Nearby is a group of three more, young Kurrajongs, the tallest being about three metres in height.
Note: on private property that I access to do quarterly bird surveys, with the approval of the landholder.
Thank you Michael. I agree re the beauty of the species; I love them. It has grown up into the canopy of an old Red Box, twisting itself beside the trunk searching for the sunlight above. I wish I had made a record of the date upon which I first noticed it!
