I think this skink would have been around 15cm long?

Definitely Eulamprus sp. and doesn't look like E. quoyii due to lack of pale anterior dorsal stripe. Hard to be be sure of E. tympanum over E. heatwolei beyond doubt but leaning towards the former due to what appears to be a pale anterior margin to tympanum. I agree with Brian that it looks most like E. tympanum but because key distinguishing features are shadowed and in soft focus it's hard to be certain.

It is hard to be certain with this photo - both species occur at Mongarlowe - therefore this should be recorded as Eulamprus sp.
