Hi Nathan, Thank you for posting. My NPA and UC colleagues and I have identified 70 individual Rosenberg's Goannas along Naas Valley between the locked gates at Mt Clear and Chris Rowley's, including several near this location. They are recognisable by comparison to photos of their left and right faces, and by scanning their PIT (microchip). Some also have symbols painted on their backs and a few are carrying GPS saddlebags. The resolution of this photo does not permit me to check the ID by zooming in, but if in future you or other NNP staff are able to get face photos, I will try to tell you who it is, or whether its someone new. Preliminary estimates from the resightings of the 70, suggest the total population is quite small, in the low hundreds, which is concerning if this is the most abundant population on the mainland, as claimed. So I am keen to firm up on the estimate. cheers
