thanks Illilanga, what other raptors might you consider, if there were not the heavy eyebrow?

The other raptor that came to mind was the Collared Sparrowhawk. The two can be very difficult to distinguish unless you can see the eyebrows, staring eyes, feet (toe length), "trouser" length, and tail shape. Even then it can be a challenge! :) Sandra

thanks Sandra, see this one hunting low through the woodland, or harassing the Crested Pigeons hanging around the chook yard.
